The Aline pendant elegantly reclaims the classic cone shape with a clean and modern design. With its minimalistic profile and smooth matte surface, the translucent shade expresses a natural balance between softness and strictness. Aline effortlessly produces a timeless impression that is well worth repeating in any room and in any setting. It is simply sophisticated and thoughtful – designed to fit anywhere and anytime. The light is evenly dispersed, creating a soft atmospheric illumination to any room. A powder-coated disc completes the shade, adding colour and an intriguing interaction between the materials.

The Aline collection is the result of a close collaboration between Pholc and the Stockholm-based design studio Afteroom. Founded and directed by Hung-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei, Afteroom’s mission is to create beautiful products that add value over time. The Aline pendant is no exception.

Aline’s conical shade is produced using a premium acrylic material that has many positive benefits over glass. It is lighter, has excellent colour retention qualities and retains its smooth matte appearance over time. And the best part – it’s recyclable and can easily be dissembled. That’s why we want it back when you no longer need it. We want to ensure that the valuable natural resources used in production can be used again and again. While this is Pholc’s first take back initiative, it’s is certainly won’t be our last.
